Feedback Update

Front Page:
After my feedback I have changed the colour and font of the smaller text on the front of the page allowing it to be more visible and stand out more, i have also changed the colour of the mast head to a block colour instead of the multicoloured masthead to give it more of a simple look. The image of the featured artist is still in the middle of the page but there is a more close up shot of her from the shoulders up with a small blank space at the top to fit the masthead and text that will overlap some of the image.

Contents Page:
On the contents page I have moved all the writing to the left of the page and given it the same fonts as the front page and similar colours so there is a consistency through the magazine. I have then placed the image of the featured artist to the right with some overlapping text so it's more noticeable and stands out more but still keeps the simplicity and creativity for the magazine.

Double Page Spread:
On the double page spread the image will still be on the left with a mid shot of the featured artist with her style added to the text surrounding her allowing the reader to see what type of person they are and  what their style is like. There will be a 3 paragraph about her to the right talking about what she has achieved in the last year and what she is hopping to happen now and in the next few years.

In The Next Week: I hope to achieve a new style for my magazine and create a suitable image for the featured artist allowing me to create a magazine that suits the genre of alternative music but also Make it look interesting. I also am planning to take some pictures of my featured artist in the next week so I can see if my choices with close and mid shots work with the magazine like I hoped they would.

Font, Font Colour And Image

What font colour do you prefer? And do you think the image should be smaller so you can see more of the featured artist or larger so her face covers the front page more? Also if there is any fonts you would like to recommend for the magazine please leave them in the comment too.

Feeback For Mock Music Magazine

Front Page:

The font and colours of the mast head are good and work really well with the background of the magazine but the subheadings or small writing towards the bottom needs to be shorter and a different colour than white because its low visibility. The Sub heading 'Music Magazine' Doesn't look good or fit well in the top right corner and would be better if it wasn't there and instead move my title around a it more to see if i can create a better positioning for it. The picture of my featured artist works well with her simple look but her hair needs to be neater (straitened).

Contents Page:

The contents page needs to be redesigned altogether and i need to reposition all the text also, but the fonts and colours work well together, Might have to make a slight change to the white font so its more readable and visible. I also need to re-think the pictures i have taken and maybe use the featured artist on the contents page instead of a band and also reposition the photos and maybe over lap the text onto the photos.

Double Page Spread:

With the double i need to focus on my featured artist mor than the other two smaller articles that i have added on the side because there is no need for them to be there. I also need to remove the seperators from the magazine and think about connecting my picture that i have taken of my artist to the text more and giving the fonts and other text more of the artists style and creating a wider focus on the artist and the article. I also need to add a catchy subtitle under the name of my featured artist.

Self-Review

I  like the colour, size and font of my mast head and the other titles alongside it. Im unsure about the white text against my photo and baground because i dont think it stand out as well as i thought it would and i also thing the bagrond and the text are to similar of colours and also the psoitioning of the tex also migh have to be moved around more.   



I think my contents page is to spread out and i don't like how theres lots of space, I would like to add a larger image onto the contents page of maybe only 1 or 2 models this time because 3 makes the page look crowded around the bottom. I like the font, text and colours used and the models/

artists clothes match the style  of the magazine.

I like the layout of the double page spread especially the large image on the left hand side of the page and the colourful separators between the articles. I don't like the black boxes behind the other side story artists and the colour of of the text on the background.

Theres some good images that a great for my magazine but theres also some bad blurry or shaky images that can be used too.

Modelling Schedule

Scheduled model for after school on Wednesday but had a problem because makeup couldn't turn up so we rescheduled for Tuesday after school unfortunately the model cancelled again and a date is still being discussed. Inside shots being taken with a Indie rock theme for front page and double page spread. Close up on face for front page and mid shots for double page spread.

Other modelling days will be within the school day of artists of different genres
Like alternative, Indie folk, indie punk ect. These will be for the contents page and the double page spread. Inside and outside photos of artists with mid shots and close ups.
